A Button House for a Button Mouse

A Button House for a Button Mouse.

A quick pencil drawing made today to bring me out of the doldrums of painting anguish ...
I think the Button Mouse came to cheer me up.
He is also for sale here ...
And thanks to Tui again for his antiquery-wizardry .. I think we might be onto something! The Smudge fly has sold to four lovely people already. Thank yous to them too.
Aren't the painting doldrums horrible?

This is wonderful, I love how you seem to just draw moments of action and movement. My work feels so stiff.

The two of you are definitely on a roll... Love this little rascal!

Ahh thanks for lovely words Ursula & Ulla ... and Eric... funny you should say that about stiffness in drawing cos that's how I feel about MY work! I just look enviously at others' fluidity of line! Hehe...

I especially like the button-wheels. And the paper backgrounds you are using for the prints are terrific! It's a great idea.

Good luck with the doldrums. That's the one thing about tight deadlines - it doesn't matter whether you have doldrums or not - you just have to keep plowing through!

This is gorgeous. In real life I hate the little blighters, but I love this it's so sweet. I like the round shape of it too, You say a quick drawing? Wow!

Yayyy I like him!!! He's on a mission, I'd not be surprised if it is racing around in his tea-kettle cheering up illustrators around the world.
