THIS WAY
There are crisscross shadows on the curtains
The kettle is always on
Green light shines through old wine bottles full of olive oil
And the strings of strange instruments shiver
The sun shines and so the oil lamp waits unlit
Paper plants tremble in the window
And pegs hang thinking about holding up washing
The porthole is a moon
There's dust on the dice
And in the oil paint
Once upon a times hide in unexpected places
And small wire horses gallop across window ledges
Two knarled fellows crouch and grimace at one another
The sun paints colours of India here and there
And wooden eggs nest on string
Birdsong hangs silhouetted
And the sun after rain shines on through our windows
There are crisscross shadows on the curtains
The kettle is always on
Green light shines through old wine bottles full of olive oil
And the strings of strange instruments shiver
The sun shines and so the oil lamp waits unlit
Paper plants tremble in the window
And pegs hang thinking about holding up washing
The porthole is a moon

in a time of immense personal pain and struggle,
i am looking for any sign of sun after rain.
that final photo is like ancient balm.
A lovely set of photos, the porthole moon is magical, and I love those little dusty dice stuck down with blu tack! Happy travelling. Joy
Stunning. Gorgeous. Both your home and hearts. The photos are spectacular. Must you hoard all the beauty and talent in the world!?
Beautiful set of photos - love the falls of light on the wood and through the glass. It's another world entirely.
Thank you for dropping by earlier and for your kind comment :)
You've shown how the everyday can be the most beautiful thing in the world. Wonderful. Thank you!
My keyboard keys are sticking. I had to delete a comment akin to this one due to all the typos.
This is what it said.

What a beautiful micro-world you've highlighted where the detailing of a tiny horse can make it huge in the imagination.
Maybe the horse travelled and had adventures on it's way to the moon to ask for the sunshine to return? :-)
Thanks for sharing.
the window photos are my favorites...
Oh...
My favourite kind of pictures. Pictures filled with light and shadow.
Thanks for sharing RIma!
Love your photos, was lovely to see your blog updates this morning, so how are you going? Is the truck repaired?

Erin :)
Wonderful photos.
They smell like wood, forest, rain, dirt, tea, memories and dreams.
Let me know when you get into East Anglia. Where is the exhibition? It would be great to meet you both, and I may be able to swing a few days for you facing a field with only pet cattle and owls living in it. Ldet me know via email if you can...otherwise good luck and happy trails.
Andy

Also my in laws bought me one of your prints for my birthday, which now has pride of place in our new home. I was thrilled to bits :0)We're in Central Colchester if you're passing through. Sadly no parking, but our kettle's always on too !
somehow its a little bit of surreal! I love it and I wish to see some of your latest works. If you know I follow your blog, and I wish to see my blog also if you want to... I am very glad if you hear my request!
